What's the strangest meat you've eaten?

Probably had horse indirectly with the scandals a decade ago

but apart from that, just swordfish when I was a kid.

I forgot to mention chicken feet. Was so delicious when curried; South Asian style.

Also forgot about haggis. It tasted alright initially, but the after taste was blegh

Cows stomach. Absolutely too weird to be tasty.

Hmmm, probably either alligator meat or frog legs.

Strangest, prairie oysters. Saddest, dog.

I’ve eaten voles and squirrels. It happened about 8 years ago when i was psychotic and thought the food supply was poisoned. There’s not much meat on voles or squirrels, and they had a very gamy taste. You can catch either with your standard mouse trap.

Are prairie oysters the same thing as “Rocky Mountain oysters”?

Strangest…I would have to say crickets dusted in a spice of some sort.

Baddest…bear meat for sure. Never tasted a more gamey meat than that.

I think bugs are under utilized in the west.

Once you get past the cricket legs it’s quite good.

Indigenous community in Northern Manitoba a couple decades back. I thought I was getting a regular hamburger but I guess that is how they dealt with the overpopulation of wild dogs.

I ate pigeon. It’s common in some countries.
