This is a post where the government could get more info on us
Calculus, in college. When I started drinking again my math grades plummeted, but I did do well in college algebra before I started drinking again. I cut a lot of class when I drank again. I wish I hadn’t blown off math in high school.
I’ve taken Algebra I and II, Geometry I and II, College statistics, and a college Business Math course. Got good grades in them all. But that was very, very long ago.
I finished with 10th grade geometry. I liked it better than algebra. It had pictures.
I competed my GCSE in maths at high school. I didn’t go on to study it in college, I took other subjects.
I got Math O level on the second try. I was good enough at algebra and arithmetic but was dreadful at geometry. I think it was the geometry in the first exam that made me fail.
Math 123 in college.
Or precalculcus a or statistics a in high school.
Math was my favorite subject in elementary school for what it’s worth
Got a 650 on math sats
I tried Coursera but don’t they make you pay for most their classes? I think they offered me a 1 week trial, then I had to pay. I use edx.org since you only have to pay if you want a certificate proving you passed, otherwise you can still take almost all their classes for free if its just the knowledge and education you want…not the proof.
Took calc in hs and again the same level in college for the requirement
The highest level of math I completed was Algebra 2 in high school. My senior year I did take Trig/ Pre-Calculus but I pretty much slept through that because I didn’t need it to graduate.
Trigonometry
15151515
Taking Discrete Structures currently. Last completed course was a graduate-level stats course.
Some not all. I think Edx changed their policy recently so that you have to pay if you want to access the assignments and tests.
I also took discrete math. I liked it. I like more applicable maths. Like in your younger years as well as statistics and discrete. I don’t find calculus all that applicable.
A lot of people took discrete math or calculus…cool. For those who struggle at math, hate it, or haven’t experienced the beauty of it, you can improve and get better! Like I said, I hated math in high school and was called stupid and such but it was because I didn’t try and never took school seriously. I also had mental health problems and problems at home and barely showed up. I ended up going to a great school and majoring in math, which would have shocked many people who knew me from high school.
I guess it’s like learning a foreign language or musical instrument, but in my case it’s much easier. It’s also cheaper! Just use a pencil and paper.
I didn’t really see the beauty of math until calculus. And from there, it just got more beautiful. Proofs are fun and challenging and are at the heart of mathematics.
I really wish I took math more seriously at community college because it does get harder. I transferred as an economics major and changed my major to math my junior/senior year because it was so interesting. If I had to do it again though, I would have picked computer science or engineering because of the better job opportunities, but I can still say math is a beautiful subject. It does prepare you for a lot of challenging careers. The logic skills you gain are invaluable.
Calculus 2 but it was the same as calculus 3 for engineering students
It was one of my highest grades. But don’t be foolish think it was harder. Calculus 1 was harder to me. You need to have luck with the teachers too
I think the tougher maths like calculus and trig are applicable for like engineering. I know when I was taking engineering classes trig was necessary. But every day stuff I don’t think it’s needed.
What is discrete math?
I don’t remember but it was fun.
Just enough to know that imaginary numbers and transcendental numbers are awesome. And that I could never love mathematics as anything more than a recreation.
