So im seeing an endocrinologist soon about my prolactin and thyroid. Im quite worried about what they are going to do because its caused by both the medications and im not sure how they are going to fix it. Has anybody else had this before?
They took care of my hyperprolactinemia by changing meds and my hypothyroidism by adding levothyroxine. The endocrinologist did both of these things while working with the pdoc. Been on the levothyroxine over 30 years now.
Whst drug was you on previously?
Im on olanzapine and flouxetine
my prolactin was high on invega. my doctor added abilify to the invega and it came down
I don’t remember which med i was on, this was 1993…
HMM, they’d likely change the medication that’s causing it. Unless prolactin wasn’t due to medication.

There are prolactin lowering medicines like Cabergoline.
