I got burned in the chest by very hot water when I was 8. That hurt pretty bad. But it was a long time ago so I don’t remember the pain really. Just that I screamed bloody murder and cried for such a long time. My parent probably should’ve taken me to the hospital but they just put me in a cold bath.
More recently I had an IUD replaced and that ■■■■ HURT!
migraines. ive had the kind where its throbbing with my heart beat and felt like i was gonna have a stroke…severe pain. throwing up. when i got em that bad i’d go to the ER. it happens about every 2 years that bad. last time tho i just took tylenol mixed with motrin. and drank tons of water. i found pacing and throwing up helps them go away quicker. so i would drink water, then throw up, then drink more water and just keep doing that.
I feel you on migraines. I used to get them a lot in my teens, less so now. Now I’ll get one maybe once every couple months because I forget to hydrate. It’s the worst when it gets behind my eyes. I just wanna claw them out of my skull to relieve the pain.
But yeah pregnancy in and of itself sounds so painful to me. The contractions, the lack of sleep, mastitis, etc. So much to hurt from before the baby even comes out. I can’t even imagine the pain of actually giving birth without epidural or anything. You’re so very strong for getting little Human introduced to the world!
What a terrible experience. I’m sorry that happened. Bigger kids are scary man. Especially when they zero in on you as a target. Was the kid a bully or did this happen playing a game or something?
When I was 14 I fell backwards on my friends lawn and hit my head on the hard dirt. It didn’t hurt at first but by the next day I was in great pain. I remember having to go to PE in school and having to play soccer and every step sent excruciating waves of pain through my head. I couldn’t believe how bad that hurt. The funny thing was when my parents took me to the doctors and he said it wasn’t even a concussion; I just bruised the nerves on the back of my head.
One summer when we were 15 my friends sister eloped to Nevada with her boyfriend and left her car. My friend found the keys and we took her car and drove around all over. We had various misadventures but in the late afternoon my friend was driving on our own street and took a turn way too fast and we crashed head-on into a light pole. We jumped out and ran home and left the car. The car was like a 1960 Valiant or something with a hard plastic steering wheel, no seatbelts and no back headrests and my friend hit his mouth on the steering wheel and knocked out his two upper front teeth and I got whiplash. My friends injury was way worse than mine but whiplash hurt! My parents took me to the hospital and the doctor fitted me with a neck brace I had to wear for two weeks. Man, that hurt.
How the time passes. Pretty sure I remember when you were posting when little Human was still in your belly. Doesn’t seem like 2 years but here we are. Is the saying about terrible twos true?
oh yeah i got my first one at 14 and a medical mistake made it worse. they did a spinal tap and my blood doesnt clot well so it didnt clot. they sent me home. the migraine came back worse. so we went back to the ER. they addmitted me to the hospital and i spend the next like week or so unable to eat, throwing up, in constant pain. then they did an MRI and found out that i had a build up of spinal fluid in my brain from the spinal fluid leak…
