First Job I ever did was a cruise ship that had day and evening cruises up and down the river that ran through my city. I did general labor and short order cook. I was only 15 and it was a dream job for a guy that age.
I got paid big time as well $1.25 a hour
Here is a pic of the ship
I served royalty in 1972, and worked a 36 hour shift for that, we had to empty the ship of everything and all new stuff was brought on, even new toilets were installed.

My first job was in a factory which packed cards birthdays and xmas.
They paid me peanuts and expected me to work like a dog for them.

I know this is pathetic, but I would do jobs that I hated.
Why?
Because I could use it as an excuse to others and to myself, when I quit the job.,
I quit the job cos I hated it. Really I quit the job because of paranoia and couldn’t get along with the other workers.
Fun times yeah

Nice! What did you cook? I used to believe I was royalty - but that’s another story.

Special memories, nonetheless, @Mountainman . Working on a riverboat is also my idea of a dream job. I love Tom Sawyer so much.

Oh the memories. Was about 15, got to work late on the weekends and hangout at the local Tim Hortons right after.

I was a paperboy for my first job too. Once a month on a Saturday I collected the money too. Once I started going out to pubs, getting up early was a problem though.
