The first private psychiatrist I went to see didn’t prescribe any medications he only told me “I needed to push myself”.

that’s a very shitty psychiatrist then ive never heard of anyone saying that to a patient before.

I knew a few people who grew up in El Salvador when I was a teen. They introduced me to the band U2 via vhs.
The best advice that I personally hold on too, or that has seen me through, has been in the form of lyrics. What started out with lyrics from U2 spread out into various genres. Inspiration from numerous composers has been my main attraction to some form of advice. For instance, Common’s song I Have A Dream guides me today to work at each dream I have. This type of advice has benefited me to work on becoming healthy in every aspect of my life. Or in other words to be open to accept advice that is offered more directly. From song lyrics to human accounts in book form, I listened to the advice of individuals tell of their heartache, despair and passion to see their dreams through. As an isolated individual, I find comfort and we’ll intended advice from them.

My friend talked me into joining Little League when I was about 11 years old. It was something I would never have done on my own and it was a good experience. It was good to be part of a team and have that camaraderie.
And in my adult life, my sister’s-husbands-mothers -best friend was selling a used Honda Accord for $2000 when I already had a car but my sister suggested I buy it. So I did and I never regretted it. It turned out to be one of my favorite cars.
So technically those were instances of advice.

In a hundred years, it won’t matter. In less time than that, it usually didn’t matter. The passing of our dear beloved ones excepted.
As I think back, that is when I hadn’t even been diagnosed yet. I only went to see this one at the advice of a regular doctor that I went to see to find out if I was dying of lung cancer. I wasn’t, it turned out to be anxiety built up over several years of onset to finally putting myself in a hospital, but it still was good advice that I play back in my mind so that I will be more encouraged to get some much needed weight loss and exercise program started.
I was told that I write my own story by the shrink who treated me from the age of 12 to 19. He was going into semi retirement as an evaluator. I wish he knew what I have done since I left his office legally insane.
Do not be afraid to ask for help.
“life is full of disappointments, get used to it”.
“anything that doesn’t cause cancer, is sinful or fattening isn’t any fun.”

one time I was really kind of scared about 14 age and was going out of state to an art camp held at KU University for a week…my dad was packing up my suitcase and we were both standing behind the car. He said, “are you nervous?” I said yes. He said, " just remember to have fun Michael. that’s all you have to worry about."…I took this to mean I could hang out with the cool guys on my dorm at school. we smoked a lot of swisher sweet cigars I remember…anyways, my dad totally relaxed me about my trip by saying that.
I was told to not get addicted to gaming and porn,I watched porn yesterday out of boredom…I must stop it before it’s too late
