What tip would you give someone for recovery?
It’s a long lonely road. Do exactly as the doctor tells you and stay close to family and friends.
Exercise when you can, eat healthy, find a hobby or an interest and most importantly don’t beat yourself up over being sick. Some things are out of our control. Hopefully better days are coming with new and improved meds.
Don’t strive for normal. Strive for peace of mind and balance.
how do you get past the fact that you may never experience a true reality?
Do something with your time, get out of the house otherwise your world becomes too small.
participate in your recovery. it is your mind and maybe your emotions as well that need healing. let the dr. know how you feel and think etc. so the healing may begin.
hope this helps. judy
Ten percent probably, but if the service is really good maybe a little more.
Schizophrenia now for 20 years and best advice I can give is eliminating as much stress as you can and staying on meds is key
Try to be pro active
Be realistic about goals
Don’t give up hope
Know that there is good days, bad days and normal days ahead.
Go have some fun in your life
Write things down.
Be careful with stress, listen to your doctor, take your meds, keep your life stable, and socialize even if it’s hard.
