Just got back from getting rid of an internet scammer that called me and tried to get into my computer.

My dad used to sell some art now and then.
He, using plaster of Paris along with a compressed art board material that had a rough backing, would make a 3D representation of perhaps a castle and pond etc.
Step 2. Get some aluminum foil and wrinkle it up. Then un-wrinkle it and glue it onto the board over the plaster of Paris, and do so with a spoon such that the aluminum foil gets into all the nooks and crannies.
Step 3. Take a cloth and distribute a black staining solution over the aluminum foil and remove the excess.
The end result was that it looked like it was actually made of pure metal. But when some of his works were in a museum, you could tell that one or two folk had scratch the surface to see if this was the actual case.
