What’s the deal with body wash?

I just bought a bottle because I had a coupon for 30% off. It’s pretty popular these days. What are the pros and cons of body wash, compared to bar soap?

I’m old school…only bar soap. I use a dash of Axe Body Spray before work, though.

Do the women go into a feeding frenzy over your body like the commercial?

I don’t overdo it…just a dash of Axe.

I’ve been hit on several times at work over the years. I just don’t follow along with the flirt anymore as I’m comfortably married with two daughters.

Body Wash and Hand Wash don’t leave soap scum in the shower or sink making them much easier to clean. I prefer good old fashioned soap though and just put up with the extra cleaning.

I prefer soap bar. Reason being a complicated story.

Soap for me!

Soap tends to leave behind a film that coats things. Gross when it’s building up on your skin. Body wash doesn’t leave a film so you’re actually cleaner after.

Its probably a rip off, but I prefer it loads to bar soap.

Personally I end up going to the “womens” soap section to buy the fruity ones. There some brand that does things like lime, lemon, orange etc. Those are all great.

Been using it for years.

I have special wash for my lady parts though.

I use both bar soap and body wash, I like to switch it up, both will make you feel clean so its all personal preference, technically body wash is more sanitary bcuz it not sitting out in the open exposed.
This is the current body wash I use, I also use the bar soap version of this stuff

I like liquid soap because I share a shower with other people and I can be reasonably confident nobody stuck my bottle of liquid soap directly on their butthole. Growing up in a house of 11, I NEVER trusted the bar soap.

Pros is that you can put it on a sponge and lather it on your body and it has a pleasing scent.

I’m allergic to perfumes so I use the old fashion Ivory, I can be around a little bit of perfume but not much

My sister in law had this body wash on the tub.

Berry Waffle Cone Shower Gel | Bath & Body Works (bathandbodyworks.com)

Very little… Perhaps the scent is better or longer lasting… Easier to apply.

Other than that it’s a good vehicle for profit.

I use bars of soap. Actually love those things. The brand I buy had sand or ground up lava rocks or something… Who needs a lather builder when my soap is designed to lightly scrape into the skin.

Alright that doesn’t sound all the great… But I’m a fan.

Body wash is legitness.

I’m currently using one by the company Raw Sugar-- it smells like Strawberry Vanilla.

It’s actually a body wash for kids, but it just smells sooo good :upside_down_face:.

I use liquid soap but I just use a washer for my ears and face. Rest of body gets the hand wash so soap is cool but bodywash is so much easier. I used to get teased because I’d leave hairs on the soap when I was share housing…That was a long time ago before body wash…
