What other ap can i take?

I start to think on this option. I like the Zyprexa because of its sedative effect, plus it gets me out of the bed, I don’t know how he makes it… But in the evening, after it take, it smashes so much my brain, that I find myself with so bad negatives and depression that I find ill never start to live if I remain like this.
So my question is which med is close to the Zyprexa because of its sedative effect who will get me out of the bed where I lay with tv messages if I am not on it, but without this smashing effect on my brain? Maybe I ask too much from an ap cause I tried a lot of them and the most of them were very bad on me.
So I cant tolerate Seroquel, solian, abilify, clozapine, Haldol, clopixol… Maybe Geodon? Is Geodon a good sedative against positives and good on anxieties but without being too ‘‘strong’’ and with lot of other side effect? In fact, I tried it in the past for 3 weeks but I got shaky on it and I thought it wasn’t calming enough. Maybe I didn’t wait enough on it, idk…
I am not sure about invega either. Never tried risperidone too…
Ok, the best is too see with my new doc, I know… But I am just afraid of all these meds. I tried around 10 aps in the past, with no success, plus some of them made me crazier… I don’t know what ill do. The Zyprexa is good in a way, but very very bad in other cause it smashes my brain every night and it affects my day too… I feel my brain compressed on it, I cant fight this with efforts, you know…

Personally, I did Seroquel, then Zyprexa, then Risperdal, then Abilify, and then finally Latuda, and Latuda 40 mg is a winner for me!

I take it at 8-9pm and even though it has negligible antihistamine effects, antipsychotics are also known as MAJOR TRANQUILIZERS so regardless of H1 and/or M1 blocking effects, you will be tired on them.

Latuda is newer, and it works magically with Lithium BID, but everyone has a different brain.

Seroquel - orthostatic hypotension which sucked obviously
Zyprexa - I went from 230-260 fast!
Risperdal - I am a male and I did not want man boobs
Abilify - worked for a while but i was still sleeping too much and 280
Latuda - just right! Take before bed, and you will sleep well and not be sedated during normal business hours!

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the answer delusional! But some aps made more than just make me tired. Seroquel and abilify made me crazier, really… that’s why I am afraid of some meds.
Latuda is still not available in my country, I am in east Europe and I don’t know when it will come… Also, is latuda just the better version of Zyprexa? I heard something like this, but I could be wrong…
Never tried Risperdal, I am a female so I don’t care about the boobs…
But you know, I am med sensitive plus I don’t have typical schizophrenia so those meds make me crazier. Seroquel dishinibated me to the point that I was psychotic as hell on it…

Latuda is a great drug, it has an uplifting effect, though olanzapine has the same effect, just not as profound. Also consider a benzo every once in a while, I take 1mg ativan like once a week to prevent tolerance and addiction. I feel good on it! So rare dosing of benzos works.

The smashing effect you describe on olanzapine is an interesting observation. I have some ideas as to what it could be. Since it comes directly after you take the pill it could be a withdrawal effect from the previous dose. It takes a couple of hours for olanzapine to reach peak concentration in your blood and to cross the blood brain barrier and bind to and block the dopamine receptors. In the meantime you might be feeling a dramatic return of some elements of psychosis which feels like your brain is being compressed.

Or it could be the drug reaching its highest effect which might be making you feel uncomfortable. At peak concentration many different receptors in your brain are being stimulated and more importantly inhibited. This can lead to feelings of discomfort or dysphoria too.

These are just a few ideas, these meds are poorly understood even by those who formulate them, so it is unknown exactly what is going wrong in an individual brain at any time.

@Anon10, is latuda more for positive symptoms or its made against negatives? How is Zyprexa on that too in comparision?

Invega worked wonders for me.
Abilify made me tired and anxious, but Invega seems to remove my positive symptoms without adding to the negatives. It’s been a lifesaver.

The antidepressant action of latuda means it would likely improve negative symptoms some. Especially those stemming from excess sedation and serotonin deficiency (OCD) and so on.

Invega helped me a ton. Geodon did help with symptoms, but I had bad side effects from it. I’d suggest Invega or Geodon for you over risperdal. Just my suggestions.
