What medication(s) do you take, and what dose?

If you could state it, and let us know how you find side effects etc

I am on Amisulpride 1000mg and I don’t get any noticeable side effects which is a first for me.

I take 30mg of diazepam max PRN but I try not to take too much because it makes me twitchy

I am on Amisulpride 150mg. The side effects are obvious: High prolactin levels and feeling of anxiety and agitations when I tried to read and write.

I’m going to switch to Olanzapine soon.

I was on 800mg but just gone up to 1000mg. I have taken it only for a year so far with no problems.

10 mgs of zyprexa, 300 mgs of effexor. Effexor can upset my digestive track so need to be proactive with that for sure as in eating etc. Zyprexa is sweet. Helps me sleep and found that exercise has improved my motivation from sleeping 10 hours a day to around 8.

Works well for me. Been on it for over a decade.

I’m on aripiprazole.
SO FAR:
It has not given me any extrapyrimidal symptoms, no akathisia, no insomnia, instead I sleep 10 to 16 hours daily.
Motivation, concentration lowered but not completely gone.
Exercise ability is currently nil though, not even walking on a daily basis.
Paranoia is high

Latuda 74 mg - no side effects.

Pros - less anxious, less delusions, less paranoia, more motivation.

10 mgs of Zyprexa/Olanzapine 3 mgs of Ativan. I’ve been on Zyprexa since 1997.

When I got out of the hospital in 1997 they had me drugged to the max with all kinds of stuff. I couldn’t function so I quit taking all the drugs. My mom found me a new doctor and he put me on 10 Zyprexa. Some of the hallucinations and delusions came back but I toughed it out and fought through it. Slowly over 5 years the hallucinations subsided.

Back then I decided that if I have to take medication the rest of my life I didn’t want to be on a cocktail of meds. I wanted to be on as little meds as possible because of long term effects. I learned I needed meds and I knew not to quit taking them because I had one relapse and I didn’t want to have another.

At present i take:

  • Clozapine (Clozaril) 250 mg
  • Ziprasidone (Geodon) 40 mg
  • Venlafaxine (Effexor) 225 mg

Clozapine causes excessive salivation, so i have to take some Atropine eyedrops swooshed around your mouth in some water to stop it. It also has stimulated my appetite, so i’m on Metformin which has worked wonders in reducing my appetite back down to normal levels. The Venlafaxine gives me mild myoclonic jerks.

Why did u go off invega ?

I felt like it wasn’t working enough, and I was hoping maybe there would be something better. I was on max dose of invega and I was still having symptoms.
Plus, it raised my Prolactin levels very high, so the doctors found it an overall good idea to switch.

Yes, it’s been very effective.
And it doesn’t blunt my emotions as much either

On Invega, I couldn’t cry. I went almost two years without shedding a tear.
On Latuda, I’m able to cry, but I don’t cry all the time like before I was medicated.

Abilify 10 mg, Too early to say If it works, but havent noticed much side effects.

Cipralex 10 mg, i dont think it gives me sideffects, hard to tell.

Mirtazapine 15 mg, no side effects. Think i got it for sleep.

Im on Invega shot 156mg and Cymbalta 60mg. No side effects to share.

Invega sustenna 234 mg/ml
Olanzapine (Zyprexa) 10 mg
Lamictal 200 mg
And I’m starting Lexapro tomorrow

I get migraines, mostly from medicine I think because I didn’t have them before. I’ve noticed some slight twitching in my fingers and hands since starting invega sustenna and zyprexa. (I can’t pick up anything heavy with my right hand without my whole arm shaking). And I have really bad insomnia.
