Well firstly the art of lying is telling the truth.

So perhaps use a earlier diagnosis, like I got told that I had some sort of anxiety related stress, before being formally diagnosed.

They also don’t use subtypes of SZ, which were removed from the latest version of the DSM. This makes it more likely that if you were diagnosed again you’d be schizophrenic or psychotic.

I like psychosis spectrum disorder :slight_smile:

maybe say you have a ‘brain illness or brain disease?’ i think that doesn’t sound too bad.

Wait until you are sure you have a mutual interest and then drop a few hints and see how things go. Let her see that you are stable and your symptoms are under control. Then tell her as delicately as you can.

I think that paranoia is a high form of intelligence & imagination. i am paranoid too. paranoia is a greek word meaning madness, but it is used for paranoid persecutory delusions. it’s a beautiful word. I am also paranoid+bipolar, schizoaffective. but I introduce myself as paranoid.
