Here in india especially in my region of Andhra Pradesh we make all kinds of veg and non veg pickles.
Veg: Mango Pickel, tomato pickle, lemon pickle, gooseberry pickle to name a few.
Non veg: chicken pickle, mutton pickle, prawns pickle etc.,.
In my language we call pickle as aavakaya in telugu or achaar in hindi.
And keep in mind we make extremely spicy pickles here in Andhra. You will get tears in your eyes literally… if you eat it

You know I’m not really sure.
Depends on what kind of pickled cucumber you want.
I like the kind pickled with garlic, onions, carrots, and dill.
They’re very mild and kind of a food staple in the states.

My grandmother used to make bread and butter pickles . I don’t know how to describe the taste but they were good. They were made with cucumbers

I like plain baby dill kosher pickles, but not on sandwiches or mixed in anything.

If you can get your hands on one of these you won’t want for any other kind of pickle. I hate that I can’t find it in Canada anymore.
Literally would pay $25 per jar if I could afford it.
