What is your view of reality?

What do you think the Universe is, and why do we exist?

I think we should be able to have this discussion.

I think that this human experience was a mistake for me. I was never supposed to be here. Being human only allows us to experience a fraction of what true reality is. We don’t ‘perceive’ the full depth of different ‘frequencies’.

I don’t think we’ll ever know.

There’s a famous question

“Why is there something instead of nothing”

And even If we were given the answer to that I don’t think we could understand it.

What do I mean by frequency?

loose definition

but I meant as something we could perceive; so light spectrum; visible light; sonic range 20hz-20khz. Maybe there are more colours or other things that we could detect with a more complex reality or biology.

Ok …gotcha! I wasn’t sure if you meant something specific but I thought you were just using the word loosely

I think about this often. I believe there are thing of different form that we can’t perceive. Ili even wonder if logic holds outside of the universe

Man…use to be really into this big question but now I’m more interested in the humanity and things like Neuro science. I think those big questions are beyond human comprehension like you said man …

Btw… Do u have a stance on the free will debate?

I believe in science. IDK about the Big Bang theory; now there seems to be some dispute about that. But I believe everything exists because the right chemicals just happen to blend together in the right conditions that allowed life to exist and everything then evolved. I don’t believe there’s any one meaning to life or some universal purpose; there are many and we just attach our own meaning or purpose to our lives that we want and live our lives and stuff happens to us; some good, some bad.

There is no answer to what the universe is, at least according to my knowledge.

Why are we here? I’m not religious so this is a non religious answer.

There is no meaning to our existence. We are a complex chemical reaction that has developed for millions of years through natural selection.

This doesn’t mean you should live without meaning. If the universe and human existence are meaningless, then you can create your own!!! And that’s exciting.

For me, the meaning behind my existence is to be happy.

This is an idea in Buddhism. The thing is it possible there is something outside of the universe or laws of the universe. I really believe beyond this universe things of other form exist. Even ideas like existing and none existing might be limited… What the hell is really Beyond… Anyways this is what Buddhist believe…the text below. I still think there is more tho …

What is conditioned arising in Buddhism?

Paticcasamupada also relates to the principle of conditionality. Also known as paticcasamupada, dependent origination or dependent arising. This means that everything, whether mental or physical, exists and occurs because of the presence of certain conditions. Everything is dependent on other things.
