What is your favorite movie based on a book by Stephen King?

For me it’s

Misery
The Shining
It
Shawshank Redemption

I really like Brian DePalma’s Carrie. Such a well acted and well made piece of horror from the 70s.

“It” chapter one.

Had a great time with that movie.

Then “Shawshank”.

Honorable mention goes to “Thinner”.

Terrible movie but I loved it.

I think the “Dark Tower” series will eventually be made into a tv show and I’m hopeful they’ll do it justice.

Really, really enjoy ‘the running man’

I love “The Mist”

I almost forgot about that one, that one was good!

The worst movies, just for the record, were “Cujo” and “Pet Cemetary.” The books were wonderful though.

I actually though Cujo and Pet Semetary were really good.

The books are amazing. Cujo was great. It gives you the feeling of feeling sorry for Cujo because he had rabies. I thought the movie made him look like some kind of monster.

Have you seen Misery?

Oh yeah! Misery was a really good one. That ankle scene! OW!

LOL

I have a funny story about that one.

In our city that movie premiered at an art-house theater that I worked at.

So I got free tickets for my best friend and I to watch it. We were pumped as we were hearing all kinds of crazy stuff about it.

Well the one scene where the woman is sticking the needles and all that stuff into the guy there was a short clip where she bends down near his pelvic area.

Then out of nowhere we hear this funny older lady say, “Did she bite his dick off?”

My friend and I just started cracking up.

:joy:

Geez, that scene was brutal. Kathy Bates was amazing in the role of Annie.

“He didn’t get out of the cockadoodee car!!!”

LOL
