What is the purpose of life?

I mean what is everyone’s take on it, I know we may all have different ideas.

I’m not sure about my purpose but I think about it all the time…

That’s good… I am thinking about it too soon… First I must tidy my room which will take a while.

@Jonnybegood quoted somebody famous recently

“The purpose of life is to get through this the best we can, whatever this is”

And that about sums it up I think.

I think it is to survive and thrive. Then die.

It seems like in this cosmic soup of a universe it’s up to each individual to find their purpose.

I think if the purpose is something higher than yourself, like spirituality, art, love, then you’re doing well. :+1:

I think the idea of a higher power is so abstract that it’s hard to even try and imagine on its own.or even impossible

I get ya. I used the term spirituality in the most generic sense.

As in lighting incense and running through the woods to be spiritual LOL.

But hey, some people do things like that, and they’re happy!

hard work and then heaven I suppose. I always thought schizophrenia was a curse and a form of punishment. Im no history buff but i thought protestant reformation meant and showed you dont need to be rich or a hard working capitalist to go to heaven anymore…

I’m extremely lazy and have a negative net worth to society. I want to give back and be 50% more charitable.

I don’t think schizophrenia is a curse before the fact. It just seems like an accident of free will.

Like, you can’t blame karma for it, it’s possible to be a good innocent person, making no known lifestyle mistakes and develop schizophrenia due to emotional trauma and trigger foods that seem healthy.

I agree. I think about predestination and the billionaires and how a lot of them give back and give most of their money to the poor and charity. Some are good, some are bad, I suppose.

It seems from my perspective, the same people make the same companies, have hard work ethic, and makes billions or millions. It feels like fate, destiny, or predestination. Perhaps, I tried to change my destiny due to free will whether free will exists or not is debatable and might be just an illusion or lie. I don’t know. I never claimed or even figured out reality totally and it’s not really meant to be figured out completely. It’s too hard, drives people insane, and I prefer the simpler life and simpler philosophy and explanations now.

I had some good times, some bad times. But I hope to get better and cured some day even though it’s not likely and is probably impossible.

Back in the day (few years ago) I believed in crazy things like soul contracts and past lives. I even entertained and believed in conformal cyclic cosmology and black hole physics like the universe is a 3D dimensional block of swiss cheese where the holes represent black holes lol…

I hope it’s all wrong and not true. I think Einstein was one of the greatest people and scientists of all time. GR/SR and ■■■■.
