For me love is a very broading definition. It can mean many things in many ways, as per example.
A small child come from a block away skins his/ her knee on your homes sidewalk. you would…
a. Give him / her a bandage then send them home.
b. look at the situation and laugh.
c. Pick em up dust him /her off put bandage on then feed em ice cream.
…{ this could go on for a while}…
Meaning Love is defined not only by your emotional state but many environmental issues as well.So therefore love cannot be simply defined like in a dictionary , but limitless thru out ones life time in a variety of ways and measures.
Or am I wrong with how I think ?
Definition of love for me is Gd.
I think pure love is that {Gd} as well.
My kids randomly sending me texts to tell me they love me and miss me.
Opening my home to my kids friends even though I feel stressed about it.
My family helping each other when needed.
I’m sure there is more but my brain has stopped
Independent but passionately intertwined.
Love is life and living it with others than yourself.
That is problematic for most of us but when the random factors align and you meet with someone on that level whether family, friends, lovers or family it’s so, so magical!
Live and love peeps. It’s a journey worth doing with others!
Owning ALL the electronics.
Oh, and the rest of the Squirrel family I guess.
Being consistently kind to somebody without needing a reason.
I saw a movie once that actually had an equation for love.
I think it was something like trust, plus admiration and respect and friendship equals love.
I could have it wrong though.
My family. Never experienced love with a woman. Might never. Family and country is what I love.
I guess you can feel love at first sight. It’s not real and it is shallow. Passion, sexual attraction are what motivates me.
Willing to sacrifice everything and give your life for what you love.
I’ve seen the equation for money lol. It’s all baloney.
love is a brand new big pack of crayons
a brand new pair of tennis shoes
cheese cake
connecting with others on a deeper level
Going to your best friend’s mom’s funeral and giving him/her a big hug and being there for him/her
For me it is helping others and being kind and compassionate.
have you had kids
people don’t always need help, they need to learn to do it on their own.
No, I’ve never had kids. But, I agree, some people just need to learn.
I always looked for real growth opportunities
I’ve invested if they were going to better themselves.
yeah.
For me, love is unconditional.
It’s when you’re willing to do anything to make that other person happy, and you accept who they are despite their faults.
For me, love is the actions you take to communicate to another person that they are worth your time. Making a delicious meal for a friend is love. Listening to someone talk about a problem is love. Teaching a child a new thing about the world is love.
When you do these things, it usually (but not always) results in feelings of affection and bonding towards the person. I think people frequently mistake those feelings for love, and get confused when the feelings go away when they forget to perform the actions that cause them.
Mutual respect, mutual basic understanding, trust, and friendship
