I couldn’t find an answer in Google, though I only looked briefly.
AI is not the problem. Humans with the power of AI is the problem. What will keep us safe from humans?
AI is only as powerful as we let it be.
Even the smartest chatbot can’t compete with an average human intellect.
Smart self driving cars are still some way off.
Of course, we will eventually invent AIs that can do many of our jobs. And they will, because we’ll make them do it.
If you’re scared about indestructible intelligent robots randomly starting shooting people, or supercomputers becoming self-aware and taking control of the nukes, that will never happen, it’s sci-fi.
I asked an AI chatbot and it said:
AI safety is a complex topic that requires a multi-faceted approach. One way to enhance AI safety is by teaching AI to love humans and learning how to love AI¹. Researchers and engineers should be mindful of and proactive about the potential for misuse of AI². Designers need to ensure that only trusted teachers have access to the AI, particularly in the critical initial stages³.
Is there anything else I can help you with?

Don’t have time to spend on it all worrying about sz
I fear that. Sometimes.
For me individually: very genuine and strong connection with self, others, God. And being really critical with what to let into my life. And whom.
On a bigger scale…I’m a bit worried everyone else will joyfully plant cameras and robots and smartphones tracking everything allover our lives. The I-have-nothing-to-hide-people frighten me, as do the hurray-this-gives-me-so-much-money-and-power-people. And the combination of those two. More so than AI itself. I hope the first category starts to think and feel a bit more. So that the latter category…is restrained from abusing AI too much.
Not sure.
I’m reminded of season three of Person of Interest when Decima finally gets Samaritan (a competing, advanced AI online). It spools up and asks the Greer (Decima’s leader) what orders he has for Samaritan. Greer’s response to the AI is, “you misunderstand. What is it you would have US do?” The show ends with Samaritan showing PROCESSING on its screen
Damn good television.
