Art is humanity expressing itself to know itself. It is a mirror.

the concept of the state is to put people on it so that they do not do something bad for the majority, but in small quantities a serious business

everyone has become educated and everyone is engaged in art and has done so much there that you can no longer understand where the real is where it is not

I’m not too sure if I understand what you’re saying

My favorite art form is probably deep dark somber music. Either orchestral calssical or metal music usually. I also think that ideas and beliefs are a core aspect of art. Some of the modern art stuff ive seen is getting crazy. For example, a skrawny hipster lad was opening a can of beans with a can opener while surrounded by dozens of audience members who seemed absolutely hooked on the experience. Insane.

Lots of art has messages, but it’s not necessarily required. Expression of emotion is another big part of it. The Mona Lisa is one of the greatest works of art of all time, but it didn’t (at least none that I know of) have any message behind it.

Art to me is something that has meaning that makes you feel something from it and you can take away something from the art

Any art form in particular or art in general?

I can tell you what the musical arts mean to me. When I play them I lose the dimensionality of time and move into a higher plane of progressive self expression with no inhibitions.

I can tell you what the literary arts mean to me. When I write and read them I have explored myself more inwardly than my previous attempt at literary utilization.

I can tell you what the visual arts mean to me. When I see a great representation of the artist’s inner calamities and triumphs expressed fully in their own medium I feel too that I can emulate them.

Honestly, I believe visual art and music are both basically the same thing when you get right down to it.

Art to me, is the exposure of one’s feelings or ideas. Your post hit the nail right on the head.

Visual arts and music both reveal the mind of the artist and communicate emotions or ideas.

I think arts all about making what you think is beautiful to show your perspective on beauty and good and change the world. :slightly_smiling_face:

Being an artist is a difficult job though

Ain’t that the truth. Two years ago I sucked on the banjo. Now I still suck but I am sucking on a lollipop type of suck.

Just like the cool stuff you are producing @POET

No one just gave that creativity to you. I feel art must be earned.
