What if it's a misdiagnosis?

How would you feel if the psychologist is wrong and what you are struggling with is actually something real not delusion, where do you go for help with your problem that is a real issue not mental illness?

I highly doubt it is spirits attacking us etc.

It is best to try and go with what evidence we already have instead.

Wish you well

What is real is that everyone on here have something different with either their brain or mind.
That is why we ended up seeing a Doctor, Psychiatrist or Psychologist in the first place.
If you carefully look at the non-mentally ill people in the world. Not many of them agree on what is real or not. Normal people just seem to go along with what ever they are told to believe and do by their leaders of their group.
For some reason we have questioned ourselves about our life, and try to find what has gone wrong.

I mean for me anyway it usually is from something real. Stress I mean. Causing us to imagine things

How do you explain antipsychotics? If things go away on them what was in your mind? Of the things that go away what is still there but you are not able to see it anymore.

Probably from people laughing at us. Would seek verification from people who go out with me. Then check with the psychiatrist/MO on what to do if it is feasible.

Regardless of how much CBT etc I have, some primary delusions just don’t go away. That’s where the meds (supposedly) come in. The world can “prove” to me it isn’t real, but my “belief/feeling” is still there.
