What if in a past life we did things to deserve this disease. I feel that many people deny karma because they either don’t believe in past lives or don’t want to believe that it’s possible that bad things happens to us because we deserve it. It’s harsh to think that way, but it makes me feel better. It makes it seem like my life is in my hands, which is how I think it should be, not in the hands of some other high power. Personally I believe I must have done something that caused it. That’s why I try and be good in this life, so that I hopefully have an fortuitous next life. Not to say we can’t change this life, I totally believe we can.
I have the same thoughts…
I want to follow Jewish law, apart from marriage, children and related laws.
If I fail due to my health condition,
at least I know where my soul lies.
Good luck Erez

I will take your opinion on board
or I was born szphrenic to experience mental illness myself and thus know first hand their problems so I can help them get enlightened.
if karma exists, which I believe it does, everything is right. everyone deserves what he has. no one suffers without a reason. but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t help those who suffer. this is our own karma. karma means action. our actions shape us and determine us.
Yup this is how I think as well.
Well if it was karma for past life, I’ve made up for in this life with positive karma, which has lead to recovery for me. And being able to enjoy life. It’s an interesting thing to think about though… but like people starving to death in 3rd world countries, what lesson is god trying to teach them??? Doesn’t seem right.
same as we reap what we sow…type of thing…?
I don’t think of it is as lesson. More like if you punch a wall, your hand is going to hurt. Just cause and effect.
My therapist would disagree with you there. She’s always talking about the soul and its transformation through time and lifeforms as it develops and eventually becomes enlightened and goes to heaven. THat’s what she thinks but she’s a little crazy. I believe in “old souls” so I do kinda agree with her that we are inclined to be wiser from birth, some people…
We are all beautiful people with lots of love to give
That’s interesting, is she an alternative therapist? I thought medical professionals weren’t supposed to discuss religion with patients.
I told her I was spiritual so she said she felt comfortable talking about it with me. She does EMDR which is alternative therapy. It’s kinda like hypnosis, it’s interesting, it helps I think. But I’m gonna end it soon I think.
Oh okay. I never really understood that whole belief about just going through lives to learn. Cause what’s the point of learning if you can’t remember it?
maybe ur last incarnation is ur best incarnation and the only one you wanna remember or something idk.
Interesting theory, but it doesn’t satisfy me.
Yeah I’m just hypothesizing
or when u become enlightened and go to heaven you remember all your incarnations at once and you become your best self you can ever be
good this is unusual beliefs lol
I kind of agree with Karma in the sense that what you do will come back to in other ways. If your good and hang around with positive influences then you will be rewarded. The opposite is true too. After death all is wiped and you go back to the void.
There could still be eternal life in a form where when you die you fall into a state where the concept of time does not exist or change. Obviously time for everyone else goes on, but for the dead they may forever experience a place forever. Like Zeno’s paradox or like a DMT trip
