What helps with delusions?

I’ve been delusional for a few years now. What helps? I’m afraid for my life.

I learned to have “anchors” for “triggers” in CBT.

So for every delusion you have, think of something that makes that delusion go away (if possible)

Hope this helps.

Can you give me an example of what thought can make your delusion go away?

only antipsychotics can make your delusions go away…

I’ve been on antipsychotics for a few years now. Nothing helped. The meds just keep me calm.

Maybe a med change would help, but we wouldn’t want to get you so bombed on med’s that you lose your happiness in life. Maybe you could try being more active. Go places. Go for walks. Visit friends. Have fun.

Maybe that would be a good idea. Thanks

I can’t really.

I can’t even think of one atm.

Too bad. This delusion is really a struggle for me. I’m not feeling well and I’m just tired of it.

Just tell yourself “so what!”

What kinds of delusions do you have may I ask?
I have love delusions. What helps me is to bring in all the logic I possibly can. But I also have to do hard work in times when delusions are not present. I build a mental model of what my delusions would bring me to if acted upon. Then what they would cause to me and my family. Think about consequences etc. But I guess it’s different depending on the type of delusion.

My delusion is that I have a camera or microphone implanted in me and that the whole country is watching me. The TV and radio broadcast what they think I’m thinking.

What helps me is put the delusions on paper, and put the facts down why its not true and its just a delusion, and just read it out loud everyday. and also meditation helps too. I hope this will help you.
