WHAT I KNOW HELPS ME
- Don’t skip meds - yes I will feel better for a couple of days but then the 3rd or 4th day I’ll start feeling ill again.
- Make sure to eat plenty of carbohydrates - potatoes, bread, rice, pasta, etc. Try not to go all day without eating even if I’m not hungry.
- Avoid low carb high protein diets.
- Ban cola, even decaff, and limit tea and coffee.
- If I feel unwell don’t chain smoke because it makes the feelings worse.
- NO ALCOHOL - EVER.
- Write it down.
- Be aware the ABNORMAL way I’m feeling is in fact a NORMAL symptom of paranoid schizophrenia.
- Maybe turn off the TV and internet.
- LET THOSE IN MY CLOSE CIRCLE KNOW I DON’T FEEL WELL.
