What gifts are you giving for the holidays?

I’m giving my best friend a Digital Photoframe and a USB-thumbdrive to store the pictures on.
He’s alone on christmas and doesn’t have any family, so I wanted to make sure he at least got a nice present from me, and I know he wants digital photoframe but would never be able to afford one on his own.

As for my family, I have no idea what to get them. I don’t have any money left, and both my sisters are super vague about what they want. At least my brother is more specific and cost-efficient, all he wants is large socks or boxers size XXXL.
I hope nobody gets me anything nice, I’d feel way too guilty.

I’m giving my daughter a Sarah and Duck pajama set and some Sarah and Duck books. My niece is getting an insulated Thermos straw cup water bottle. My in-laws are getting a photo book of my husband and daughter.

I’m giving the girls at the gym a jump rope XD

Do you feel up to DIYing some gifts? What about making some facial scrubs, bath bombs, or soaps? They’re a bit time consuming, but not too difficult and if you’re making them for more than one person they’re really cost effective, too.

I would, but I don’t have the money for any ingredients.
I’m not kidding when I say I have no money, I really have no money whatsoever.

Hmmm, well, depending on what already have at home, you may be able to make some bath bombs.

It’s a nice idea, but none of my family members have bathtubs, and I don’t have any of the ingredients.

Boo. Well, I’ve got nothing better to do with my time, and I still need some simple gifts for neighbors, so I’ll keep looking for ideas.

You could make the best moisturizing lotion ever made… it’s:

1/3 olive oil
1/3 petroleum jelly
1/3 lard

Mix and put in a wide mouth jam jar. Lasts forever, works like magic

my partner and i helped pay for a tv for my partner’s little sister

I really appreciate it, and I would if I could, but I have the equivalent of 15 USD left and I’m spending 6 of those on busfare, and the little money I get every monday I can barely stretch enough to feed me, so I really really can’t afford to even attempt to make presents unless the ingredients can be spaghetti, toiletpaper or pills. Those are the only three things I have an abundance of.

I’m sorry, I don’t mean to get pissy. It’s just that people don’t seem to take it seriously when I say I really have NO money.

Can you make something homemade for them? That saves money and can be a very thoughtful gift.

Legos! My answer to about six of the more recent topics right now is Legos! This is what my niece and nephew have requested for Christmas.

@Berru If you don’t have enough money for adequate food or bus fare, you shouldn’t even consider giving gifts. Just explain the situation to your family. Maybe make each family member a home made card with just paper and pen (if you have those supplies).
