Just curious how do you define your musical taste?
I like alternative/ punk I listen to other genres but alternative/ punk is what I always fall back too.
One of my favorite songs of all time is London calling by the clash but popular movies kinda ruined the meaning of the song.
I’m with you @cbbrown . I grew up getting into 70’s classic rock but once I discovered punk and alternative that was it. I still appreciate quality 70’s rock and also have broad enough taste to like prog rock and other variations.
I think my favorite all time work of art album is Slint’s " Spiderland ". Just the most amazing aural experience with what they tend to describe as Math Rock but I’d say back then it was alternative to a T. I still enjoy a lot of new music and we have a great radio station over here called 4ZZZ. Amazing content and always plays interesting music!
I try to listen to other music like huge Janis Joplin fan, can’t really listen to country use to believe it or not but sometimes it’s like their heart isn’t in it anymore not just country but alot of music genres.
70s and 80s rock

I like pop music and some of the catchy tunes of the 70,80s
Normally I listen to progressive rock, bands like Pearl Jam or The Smashing Pumpkins. But when I get a bit bored of that I listen to dance music.

I like many genres: from baroque to black metal, from electronic to twelve-tone music, from pop to jazz etc
Ive never been a big music fan but when i do like pop the most.
My fave rock band is the pixies (but tbh not sure if they are strictly speaking rock)
I’m a huge metalhead, so naturally I like heavy metal the most
Modern punk, aka pop punk.
I love modern rock ‘n’ roll. For example, Ruen Brothers and Chris Isaak. Real instruments and phenomenal singing voices.

I like many different genres from classical to oldies to blues to rock to country to some forms of techno. I’m not really into hip hop though.
