Suffering from anxiety attack again and took .5mg of clonazapam for it. This helps me somewhat. Was prescribed ativan for this but afraid to take it because it did not work last time. Can ativan or clonazapam aggrivate an attack? I hear people who have anxiety attacks and take these meds.say that they helped calm them down. What has worked for you?
For anxiety, any benzo would probably work. Klonopin .5 2x daily does the trick for me. I’ve never gotten high no matter how many benzos I took, if you have anxiety you don’t get high I once heard , you get “normal”. The worst that happened I fell asleep.

I take one when I wake up and one around 5-6 pm. My pdoc trusts me and gives me the freedom to take them when I want but I choose morning and early evening.
I take xanax, and I know that its my antipsychotics that keep me out of the hospital but the medication I rely on the most is my slleping pill Lunesta. Lunesta is my lifeblood.

I found Ativan good for anxiety.
valium and remeron mostly out of the 3438439 meds ive been on
Seroquel rexulti and brintellix, I started them all at the same time so Im not sure which one helped cure my neg symptoms but something in there worked and now Im alot better.
Lexapro worked for my overwhelming anxiety. Just a low dose everyday. It’s an antidepressant and now I take a higher dose to combat depression. But when my psychiatrist first put me on it it was purely for anxiety. Daily dread feelings. Just 10mg back then and it worked really quickly, within days.
I take Ativan for anxiety, it helps greatly. but I don’t take it everyday. I’ve noticed it works a little different from valium. valium made me so out of it I didn’t like the effect it had on my brain. my pdoc let me take it as I please.
I have been using Klonopin for years, it’s been effective for easing my Anxiety and has good mood stabilizing properties.
I have Diazepam and Oxazepam depending on the intensity of my anxiety.
Clonazepam worked for me where other benzos did not. It really helped me a lot.
I’ve been on 2 mg Klonopin X 2 daily before. Like most drugs, you can quickly build up a tolerance for the benzos, so that you need larger doses to get the same effect. My pdoc took me off the Klonopin when I told him I had given a couple away. It was tense for a little while coming off this drug, but I got over it. Some people have a rougher time coming off the benzos. Right now I depend on the ap’s Geodon and Seroquel to keep me functioning.
Both diazepam and clonazepam help my anxiety. I tapered off the daily diazepam, and now I only take in emergencies. Yesterday was an emergency, took one and slept for two hours. Guess I didn’t suffer from the med losing its ability with me.
Not sure but I think if you come off benzos for a good while your tolerance kinda reduces.
