What anti-anxiety medication would you recommend?

Taking Klonopin or Clonazepam feel it makes me more anxious, but not sure and after it is supposed to kick in, but have taken it to help me sleep at night to prevent anxiety and it doesn’t make me nervous then. Am really confused and going through anxiety tonight and wondering should I take this? My doctor said he can put me on Abilify because it kicks in faster or Xanax but feel weary because of my experience with Klonopin.

My two favorite Benzodiazepines are Klonopin and Ativan, they are really the cream of the crop as far as Benzos go.

I won’t touch Xanax, just way too addictive and can trigger Euphoria.

I was on valium, but found Ativan was better.

I’ve only ever taken Ativan but it was great for me.

Used to pop xanax mint flavor… Good days over. Lexotonil was OK too…

Didn’t abused antipsychotics, was too stoned. But stopped meds some phobia… somebody suggested depo probably olanzopine too.

Running and hiding fuuk it, nothing works.

Do you have panic disorder? If so, I would take the lowest effective dose of Xanax.

I have good luck with Zoloft and it’s like $10 a month.

Xanax and Valium are great!

Ativan is the best of all. Xanax is typical american med reminds me of the song tuesday by drake and ilovemakonenn

“Upstairs ive got xans and an advil bottle dont take them s**ts but you do so I got em for ya”

I’ve found zyprexa the best for anxiety and it’s non addictive.

I take Xanax, I have never had euphoria but it works well for anxiety.

Different meds for different purposes. For persistent, chronic anxiety sufferers like myself Klonopin works really well due to its long half life. It is more subtle than the others which I like.

For panic attacks or acute anxiety Ativan or Xanax is more appropriate. You also really feel it, which I didnt like.

I’m not a doctor, this is just my experience. I would talk to your Dr.

Any Benzo you take has a potential to become an addiction. I was addicted to xanax and attempted to go cold turkey. It cause severe withdrawals. In the end I couldn’t cut it and decided to ween down. It took months to finally get off of them completely. Truthfully, anti-anxiety medications help a lot, but the better way is to deal with why you have anxiety and try to resolve the triggers and to use other methods to cope whenever possible. Like starting out using enough medication to get your feeling better… but also attend a therapy designed to look into your issues and help resolve them so you can eventually not even need medication support for anxiety.

Is venlafaxine any good for panic attacks? My dr put me on venlafaxine for panic attacks.

i would say chompiprozole is solid

Xanax can be a useful drug.

It’s really one of the better Benzos to stop or put a hault to a panic attack.

Taking Xanax on an as needed basis for full blown panic disorder is not a bad idea.

Just try avoid tolerance with this med.

Xanax addiction can be Hell.

Venlafaxine (Effexor) is a SSNRI (anti-depressant).

It’s good for panic attacks. If it doesn’t work for you, ask your doctor about Anafranil (clomipramine), a tricyclic anti-depressant.

xilopene is decent

Imipramine or Tofranil is also another good med for panic disorder
