I personally think weed is a trigger and not a cause but there are others who would disagree.

I voted other. I think my sz was brought on by a combo of trauma, stress, and self medicating and reading old occult books.
I think all of that combined opened my mind to other dimensions.

I think genes, but smoking weed when I was young triggered it.

I had poisoning of the brain before I was born because my mother had toxemia of pregnancy when she had me that came very close to killing her.
I smoked a lot of pot between the ages of 17 and 46.
Almost everyone in my family has or had some kind of MI or another.

I was smoking weed at the onset of the illness. But some people seem to say that I wasnt smoking enough to actually warrant it being the sole issue.
Ive read that getting the ambilocal chord stuck around your neck at birth increases your odds of psychosis by quite a lot. I also think I was very depressed as a child. So I put it down to all these three factors.

Genetics for me and an abuse in the family…
Or maybe its mostly genetics, idk. This illness runs on my dad’s family side in fact 
… And my dad even got psychotic at the end of his life too, while before, we saw some abuse from him…

Living with constant panic attacks for years as a child and teen.
