What do you guys think this is?

So before meds, I’d do this peculiar thing where I’d zone out to the point of not responding to external stimuli, and it seemed to happen with TV. Thing is, if I was forced out of this zoning out state, I’d feel disoriented and a bit dizzy.
I didn’t experience this issue until I began having my psychotic symptoms, which makes me curious if it’s a part of my psych issue.

I posted something similar to this in another topic but I am all too curious for answers!

I’m not going to ask for a diagnosis on anything here, but also if anyone has had similar experiences, do tell!

I do that, especially when my meds aren’t working or I’m tired.

That happens to me when I’m really tired. Sounds pretty normal.

Huh, I’ve never experienced it before so it was very weird to me when it did begin happening.

That is very interesting. When you are in that state is there any activity going on like daydreaming or anything?

Absolutely nothing mentally or externally, just like my brain shut off or something.

I will sometimes zone out especially when I’m tired or stressed out.
It actually happens pretty often for me.

Yeah when I’m stressed out.

Yeah, it’s like our brain has to stop and just relax for a moment.
In these moments, I’m not stressed or tired, but it definitely doesn’t help if I am.

So…you’re not actually asleep though? Have you ever measured how much time has gone by from when you last remember being totally conscious?

No, I’m awake. I think at one time it was something like a minute or two passed before I regained consciousness.

It could be catatonia or dissociation. I think both can be symptoms for sz disorders.

Yeah I would get the same thing but for me I think it was either dissociating or going into a dream state since I have a sleep disorder. Hasn’t happened in a while since I’ve been well.
