Feeling depressed. I just crashed, and I’m stuck in my bed. It’s not good, because I have so many things I need to do. My brain is all foggy, my body is imobile, and well, I just feel sad and hopeless. Can’t stop thinking about all the things I need to do.
I tried reading, but I couldn’t focus on a single paragraph.
I tried watching Friends, but my brain got mad and decided that was a waste of time and a waste of my brain. So I’m on here, now. Writing this post, wanting to get up and be productive but I can’t.
What do you do when you feel unbearably depressed?
I sleep a lot while severely depressed. My concentration and motivation are reduced to nil so even watching TV shows or playing a pc game becomes difficult.
Forcing myself to get up and do productive things is the best way to help me creep out of depression. It’s very difficult, but makes me feel better about myself.
I take some coffee.
I talk with my mother.
I just walk in my house.
I start to read the Bible, Psalms, for example, you could try to read Psalms 121.
I start to read in the Internet or books.
I listen some old school game songs.
I hope this will help you.
"I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore."
(Psalms 121)
A walk of 8 minutes will cure any of the depression based on inactivity. I just walk for 8 minutes.
@Andy
Oh my goodness, you have no idea how much I needed this. Thank you!
I hope you’re better.
Sorry you’re feeling like that. I’m actually going through a rough patch myself.
I usually can’t do much when I’m depressed but I try to active my art side. Paint, color, and go outside (as much as I don’t want to) I usually try to clean up my room a bit and clean my bed (makes me feel better) There’s lots of things you can do and you just have to find the one that fits for you. Hope you feel better soon!
I haven’t been depressed but my sister has and I moved in with her during that time to help her out… She did a lot of art.
Avoid thinking about anything depressing…believing in god & heaven makes this easier
