What do you do to distract yourself from med-induced munchies? Share your tips

I am so hungry right now. But because it’s from meds it feels kinda weird type of hunger.

Anyone care to share tips on what to do when hungry?

I didnt find any tricks but I lost weight by eating less and replacing breakfast with a low calories protein bar.

I think brush teeth , drink lemon or mint water, suck on a sugar free hard lollies, chew on carrots etc problem is I dip my carrots in aoli.

Drink lots of herbal tea.

Get a strong interest and persue it for an hour or so, and you will forget you are hungry. Like work or the internet.

Carrots in mustard is a good 0 calorie snack.

Don’t buy any munchies to eat or keep in the house if you don’t have the willpower to not munch them.

Roast some veggies in an airfryer with just a one cal spray of olive oil instead.

I am on clozaril and i am hungry all the time, i drink sparkling water to feel full!

Eat fruits and vegetables or a small meal and wait, after 30 mins the hunger starts to get much lower.

I do things that interest me. To redirect my concentration on something else

I switched meds because I gained 90 pounds in one year. I take 10 mg of Haldol now

I drink small gulps of cool and refreshing bottled water. I’ve made this method up. Don’t know if anyone else does. It works for me for med related munchies.

I got on keto. It suppressed all of my munchies.

I eat stuff with no calories like sallad fruit noodles

@everhopeful told me to take vitamin B supplements and that actually really helped me when abilify made me starving all the time.
