So what do you do when the med munchies are unstoppable

I am trying to eat healthy foods but am still hungry! Anyone got any good tips about coping with increased appetite?

Maybe drink lots of water to curb your appetite? And of course, keep healthy snacks on hand.(I am not always the best at avoiding unhealthy snacks myself.)

A b-complex helped curb Abilify induced hunger pangs for me. I don’t take it anymore now though. It might work for you maybe.

Olanzapine gave me the med munchies, I never learned to control them, I just ate and ate and never felt full.

It wasn’t until I dramatically reduced my dosage and then quit did I start losing the urge to eat so much and lost weight.

Mints.

They satisfy that need for something,

And kind of prevent you from eating other stuff because of that aggressive minty flavor.

Like after brushing your teeth.

And there was me thinking you had turned a new leaf.

I eat a small quaker granola bar. They’re like 140 calories and they usually buy me a couple hours until the next meal.
