What did you want from your father? For the guys

I really don’t need a mother hen censoring what I write down. It makes me really angry.

My father worked a lot when my brother and I were growing up.
He was hardly home.

I was closer to my Mom but my father was always there for me when I needed him.

My father has narcissistic traits so he wasn’t that affectionate with us but he is an emotional guy especially when he’s anxious or rattled.

I now help him during his old age.

He helped me all my life after all.

After the debris of adolescence and my dirty thirties settled down I’ve recently started talking to my father a lot.

I even apologized for being an ass in the past and he told me I have nothing to apologize for.

My father left America a long time ago. He’s a very tough Englishman who taught me how to handle myself in the street and a lot of other lessons in life. I know he loves me dearly.

I wish my Dad would have gotten vaccinated sooner. But he was big into conspiracy theories and thought the vaccine had some kind of tracker in it.

The delta variant killed him before he got his second shot. I wasn’t ready for him to go yet.

He was a good father to me. Jack of all trades. He could fix or build anything. We never called repair men. He knew how to do a little bit of everything.
