Everything is okay where I am in an assisted living center in Eastern Oklahoma. I think these assisted living centers vary in their quality. Also, there are a lot of people coming and going from here, and if we get a couple of bad people here at the same time it can kind of cause stress. Other than that things are fine.
I’m from the US, I work, and insurance is very expensive sice Obama Care. I’ve got the worst plan because it was the cheapest . So I’m basically taking out a loan if I get hospitalized. Betting I won’t and taking old meds because they are cheaper… my deductible is 5k and I pay about $450 a month for coverage. I don’t care for how we are treated in the hospital. But I must say I’ve recovered well but you really have to speak up and at times be persistent to recover well. Pdocs aren’t bad but I don’t like how they push your buttons to diagnose you. Seemed very destructive to my recovery.
I feel really lucky to have free healthcare.
I think someone here said they have free healthcare in mexico. If they can do it, why can’t the country that boasts about how rich and powerful it is do it?
I think the free health care for low income in the US is pretty good. But if you have to pay for it it’s expensive .
I find it hard to find a doctor. I have medicare
Are you in the US?
Yes. I have medicare
Are you near a major city? Do you have to travel to get a doctor? I don’t have problems with getting a doctor it’s just gone up so much.
There is a lot around me. Just not many doctors take medicare. Especially counselors.
I’m in the us. I currently don’t have a job so I found a place that give jobless sz their meds. However when I did have a job I had to pay around 400 a month. American healthcare is good it is just that it is expensive. I’m still paying for the time when I was hospitalized. People keep talking about a government health insurance but the health insurance does nothing if the deductible is around $6000. They need to find a way to reduce costs. Otherwise it is just going to be like the student loan situation. One side also seems to not care about what it will do to the national debt.
Thank you @discobot
I don’t like the idea of having government in health care. Especially a government that has no respect for life, as in the us. It’s just a matter of time before they start disposal of the weak, elderly, and expensive to care for. Wouldn’t happen if we were “one Nation under God” but we’re not
I have a lot of issues with that statement but I will refrain.
I’m from the province of Québec in Canada. Here what is good is that you don’t have to pay, it’s the government who pay.
But the quality of the care is pretty much bad. For example, it took 12 years for the doctors just to give me an antipsychotic to treat my illness. How do you explain that!!! During all those 12 years, I have been in a total nightmare. I even asked often during these years to see a psychiatrist and each time it was refused by the family doctors.
America. And it’s Ok I suppose. Although they’re starting to cut a lot of funding. I get veterans insurance. I would most likely be screwed without it.
