- I don’t use a cloud storage service
I was forced into using OneDrive because Windows 11 decided to upload all of my documents without asking. I had massive game save files and some that were thousands of small files for some game.
Same for me, uploaded files without asking. I haven’t even figured out if there’s a setting to stop it, but I switched to google drive anyway, you get three times the space of OneDrive(without paying) and it doesn’t just upload without asking.
Anyone know if it’s possible to uninstall OneDrive completely from windows?
I managed to get it to stop after messing with the settings. Don’t remember what I did. I had to go in and manually delete all those files. Now I have 2 Documents folders, one is the OneDrive one and the other is local.
I think you go into OneDrive settings and just switch off the backups.
I use drive but I barely do. Have my resume in all its iterations there and some photos of my grandparents haha
Ok, cool. I’m gonna tinker with it. Bad design from Microsoft tbh, don’t know what the thought behind having it auto sync some arbitrary folders on your computer. For me I think it did desktop and documents folder.
I use iCloud. I pay 0.99€ per month.
Ah that’s the one I forgot… I can imagine many use that one.
Mega = mega crap.
Joined 28 August. Desktop app wouldn’t sync.
30 August told -
Please log out your account (go to your Desktop app interface - Settings - Account - Log out) and then reinstall the Desktop app from this link: MEGA Desktop App: Windows, Mac and Linux (please DO NOT un-install anything, simply install again).
I can’t because of a bug.
Mega’s same day response-
We could reproduce the bug of the reinstall error and we have now reported it to our developers.
The fix will be deployed in our future update release.
I manage to download and install today.
The Mega app has detected a problem.

76 days with a subpar service.
I cancelled the account. Now need to find a better one.
I use iCloud which is $3 a month because I pay for larger storage
I also use iCloud, google and onedrive.
I might get cloud storage once I actually clean up my emails and files on my PCs but I like to use external hard drives to store my sh!t.
I’ve never had a reason to use cloud storage yet… I hardly ever download anything unless it’s on a gaming console
