Class is based on household income, not net worth or future inheritances.

Uhm. Grew up upper middle class? I think? Now I have a middle class income.

Grandma 1: upper class/upper middle class
Granddad 1: upper middle class
Grandma 2: working class
Granddad 2: middle class

Grandma 1’s mum ruined it for all of us. :stuck_out_tongue: She was nobility. But eloped with a man she wasn’t supposed to marry, because of the class difference. And now we are poor. I really like my family history. Because we’re a mixture of races, religions, classes. One part of the family were maids. The other had maids.

I don’t really understand the classes thing. I think I’m the lowest working class type, family there is when considering my parents. But some of my siblings are higher.

I’m poor working class my great grandparents worked as dockworkers, tin miners and crofters.

I’m never sure how to answer this question . Upbringing - privately educated, father a diplomat (he retired as diplomatic equivalent of a 2 star general) Since living independently- social housing , welfare benefits inc disability,identify with left of centre, middle class, political values

Right now I am in the lower class, but life isn’t bad. I grew up in the slightly upper middle class. When I grew up I felt like there were distinctions that mattered more than what class you were in.

I’m definitely lower class if it’s based on income, but I really don’t mind. I have most of the necessities, like a roof over my head and food.

I am on the disability pension and i don’t work and i don’t have money.
I have two fur babies and a second hand car.

I have no savings and i can’t afford to travel or go fancy places.

I guess by those eyes viewing I would be seen as lower class.:crazy_face:
