Just curious to hear what people think about the possibility of a cure for psychosis
I am not sure about a cure, but some way in the future I envisage booster shots to prevent it happening in the first place .

yea they seem to be closing in on ways to prevent it from happening but that doesnt help us much. I wonder if they will at least have better safer drugs with less side effects. Any improvement on what we have now could be life changing for a lot of people.
Drugs with less side effects would be a major step forward. However I sense that would require radical new therapeutic approaches . A lot of drug research is for “Me too” drugs where the same set of side effects are often involved.
Doubtful for a cure…but hopeful for better treatment options and improved meds…

Some people are saying that this century is going to be the “century of the brain”, where they get all the neural pathways in our heads mapped out. It certainly raises some sticky moral issues to think that we might be able to manipulate a person’s brain from being a criminal to a Nobel Prize winner.
I personally think that a cure is impossible in our lifetime. But better meds are highly probable. I wish they would hurry up and get something new approved.
