when i was a kid, i couldn’t whistle. was quite shameful. i tried so hard. i put fingers in my mouth. i twisted my throat. i did everything.

the best i got was a dull blowing sound. was shameful. then i tried and tried. i kept blowing that dull blowing sound to my favorite music. until one day i started making a whistling sound. it was pretty cool. now i whistle a lot.

:joy::joy::joy: 15 years or so

The Dark Ages. Voltaire was a good teacher. Hobbs was rather depressing about the whole thing. The Bubonic plague kind of interfered with my lessons for awhile.

I learned to whistle when I was about 25. I actually tool time to practice despite feeling incredibly dumb while trying. I can whistle now but not so good.

when i walk outside for a long time, i tend to whistle. a lot better than my humming, before i learned

20 years old. She was a beautiful, older experienced woman who showed me all the ropes. She was sensitive, tender and after just teaching me how to whistle once, I learned all I needed to know and we were just two ships passing in the night. After that one night I I never saw her again. But I still think of her every time I whistle “Three Blind Mice”.

i don’t think i could learn whistling like that. felt like a personal learning for me. my throat, tongue, and lips are unique, so it just wasn’t possible for whistling to be taught to me, i think. then again, i never took whistling that seriously. lol. humming was good enough. but whistling sounds so much more cool.
