Went to the Mexican grocery store

Lol was funny. None of them spoke English, I didn’t speak Spanish. I speak some Spanish and she spoke some English so we were trying to figure out how to communicate with each other. It was funny. I was the only non-Spanish-speaking person you probably see all day. And it was super cheap. I got three nectarines one mango chicken quesadilla and a large horchata for 15 bucks. I gave her two dollar tip because she was so nice and made me laugh. It’s been a good day

What’s a large horchata?

Its a Mexican drink its really good its like coconut and milk and cinnamon its amazing yum yum yum I get it every chance I can and the Mexican people always like me when I order it and PRONOUNCE IT RIGHT. Or-Cha-Tuh. I can almost always hear them say “the gringo ordered horchata!”

That’s really cool you picked up some goodies at the Mexican store. We have a lot of those in my city. I have a little Hispanic/Latino heritage, but I don’t speak much Spanish.

She said “Hola” and I mistakenly said “Hi” at first because I didn’t know what to expect before I came in lol. But she asked what I wanted on my quesadilla and I said “pollo” and once again, great pronunciation!! So I might’ve redeemed myself.

We don’t have those besides restaurants which are pretty expensive here. Do you live on the west coast? When I lived in Washington state they had awesome Asian food because it was closer…to Asia. I figured.

Portland had the best wonton soup and Chinese food for that matter ive ever had damn I miss it!

I live in Alaska, and we have a relatively large Asian population. I like the Thai restaurants, but they are too expensive here, too, so I don’t go very often.

I have this hat my parents gave me when they went to Alaska. I’m holding it right now and it says “Kenai Fjords Glacier Lodge”.

Yeah I like Thai food a lot, especially on the west coast!! The Fried Rice and the soup yummmm. I would go there all the time, my goal was her to know my name, and by the 5th time I went there she said “Thanks Jon” when she handed me my card.
