You can certainly try it especially if you don’t suffer from schizoaffective or bipolar.

Otherwise it could make you manic.

It made me very ocd and my anxiety was out of control on it. It isn’t good for me. I take Celexa for depression now

My doctor told me that Wellbutrin does not work, I tried it and it didn’t do anything like he said.

Wellbutrin does miracles for me. Takes the edge of my depression and makes me feel calm inside.

Good luck. When it came on the market the slogan was the “happy, horny skinny pill.” They had to pay an enormous fine for that kind of marketing… but it made me curious :slightly_smiling_face:

About a year ago I had deep depression and then was put on Wellbutrin and the depression lifted. I have stayed on it ever since, and the deep depression has not returned. For a while I was up to 300 mg/ day but I suspect that contributed to a psychotic period a few months ago. Right now I am on 150 mg/ day. Also, I have some negative symptoms but I have some power over them if I try.

I HAVE 375 mg wellbutrin xr in the morning (yes i half my pill) AND AM STIMULATED both physically and mentally . However this is also due to my other medication of which only clozapine is sedating.
I am taking bupropion as mentioned above along

  • sertraline 150 mg / day
  • amisulpride 300 mg / day
  • clozapine 75 mg / day

My mood and symptoms of schizoprenia is better than ever before. This is because i take these 2 most effective atypical antipsichotics and gold standard combination also caled Welloft (bupropion + sertraline)

Im also on clozapine (200 mg 2 at bedtime) and Im on trilifon. The clozapine is a miracle drug and Ive been on wellbutrin for over a week and feel alot better. I actually went out and ran today. Im so proud of myself and Im planning on doing it every day

Well, i only feel wellbutrin is working for me if clozapine dosage is not too high, because clozapine muted stimulating effect from wellbutrin. On the other hand i didn’t sleep for 3 days when i tried to go without any clozapine. So then i went up on it once again on lower dose. Because my clozapine is low dosage i can afford to go to the high dosage wellbutrin which can cause seizures in combination with clozapine on high enough dosage. So if you take 200 mg clozapine you may not want to take more than 150 mg - 300 mg daily of bupropion otherwise the risk of seizures is high . Though I think bupropion is good to counteracts sleepiness and weight gain associated with clozapine. Good luck!

I am also diagnosed with paronoid schizoprenia but i am now symptom free most importantly in terms of negative symptology and also positive. My cognition and attention span is even better compared to "normal " people. I had problems with motivation and drive before clozapine and bupropion.
