I know this sounds crazy but I think Wellbutrin actually IMPROVED my sexual functioning. I know people on here are always asking about this issue in relation to various meds so I’m sharing this. If mods decide this is too tmi feel free to delete but I thought this was very interesting.

Basically when I started geodon it started delaying the time it took for me to orgasm. I had become accustomed to this, no big deal. But then I start Wellbutrin and after a few days of being on it the time it took for me to orgasm snapped back to normal and I know this is subjective but they felt MORE intense. Crazy!! So Wellbutrin actually seems to be counteracting the negative sexual side effects of geodon! Important information I think for those who are struggling with sexual side effects. Maybe try a low dose of Wellbutrin!

I’ve got no bad side effects from it to my knowledge.

It’s very interesting!! Sexual side effects are a serious issue for me when it comes to medication, I can’t tolerate them. So it is fascinating to me that a med seems to be not only not giving me bad side effects but counteracting the bad effects of another med. I’m wondering if it’s because the dopamine increase and the reward system.

I knew Wellbutrin can help with that stuff in men, but didn’t realize it helped women as well. I think it has to do with boosting norepinephrine.

One thing the ssri’s do for me is delay my orgasm quite a bit. It probably does that for other guys too. They’re a very good treatment for premature ejaculation.
