Does anyone take wellbutrin? If so, what dosage are you on and what side effects do you have? Does it increase your anxiety? Thanks.
I’ve been taking Wellbutrin for 18 years. I currently take Wellbutrin XL 300 mg.
The only side effect I get from it is making it easier to have an orgasm. The Paxil I’m also taking now seems to counteract that, though, so my sexual functioning is fairly normal.
It does not increase my anxiety; for me, anxiety increases when I become depressed, so in a sense it lowers my anxiety by improving my mood.

I’ve only taken the pill twice so cant really say anything about it yet. But I’m on 150 mg.

I’m on 150 mg a day. It’s a godsend, it almost totally eliminated my suicidal thoughts. Side effects have been minimal, possibly a little agitation here and there, but it passes quickly. Also, for a while it made part of my right hand numb, but then I figured out that Wellbutrin SR doesn’t cause this, while Wellbutrin XL does. My doctor didn’t believe me but it’s true. No more numb hand on the SR.

I started with 100 mg of bupropion or Wellbutrin and it helped ease a lot of my depression but it wasn’t gone all the way so my psychiatrist bumped it up to 150mg and my mood has stabilized a lot. I haven’t felt any side effects and I am doing good so far.

I take 300 xl too and I don’t have any side effects.

I take 150 mg.
I fell into a deep depression after starting risperidone last year. I could barely get out of bed.
My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin and my depression started to lift. I could get out of bed again.
I wouldn’t say that I’m happy, but the Wellbutrin took care of the more physical symptoms of my depression—like the feeling of heaviness and lethargy—and helped restore some of my function. I do have a bit of an increase in anxiety, as it is a bit activating, but it’s not bad. That’s really the only side effect I get.
I think it’s a pretty effective little drug.

What I found when I started taking wellbutrin is that it gave me a lot more energy and it’s actually harder for me to just sit there and do nothing. But then on the other hand I think it increases my anxiety more all the time. I am on 150 mg a day We reduced it to that because of my Anxiety and anger issues that pop up.
I use to take it years ago and it was all good. Probably 300mg a day. I didnt feel much from it. I do beliee it made me a tad nauseous…
But 6 months ago i took it at 150 mg and i got insomnia and that made me get paranoid af.

I’ve never tried it before.
Some people report feeling jittery or more anxious in general when started on Wellbutrin. But anxiety might have many different causes. It’s not always so easy to distinguish a disorder’s symptoms from a side effect. Wellbutrin is used to help depression, so if depression underlies anxiety, then it would be helpful.
I would try it and see how it goes.

Yeah insomnia is no good !
I was on a large dose maybe 200 mgs a day. It helped my depression and no significant side effects

i went from chemical induced depression to loving life every day.
all it took was 200mg wellbutrin.

I am on 150 mg, it has helped a little with depression, it has also had very few side effects with dry mouth being a positive side effect due to Invega making me drool too much.

I’m on 450 mg and I’m still depressed but maybe a little less depressed than before.
that’s the max dose. over twice what I’m taking. I noticed a big difference between 100mg and 200mg so I wonder what 450mg is like.
