Well guys I'm broke

The Rehabilitation Day Services boss wants everyone to buy a Santa hat to decorate next Monday.

I have $15 cash and $9.00 in checking. Sorry but a Santa hat isn’t going to happen. I have $33.00 available on my credit card.

The $200.00 ER bill and buying some new clothes because I have lost weight wiped me out this month. I have very little credit and have to pay cash now.

I’m sorry. I know how that feels. It’s wrong of them to expect you to buy a nonessential item for them. Don’t feel bad that you can’t do it, because they never should have asked

Thanks. At least my bills are paid for the month. I knew about the clothes but decided it was more important, for my health, to lose weight. My case manager wanted me to take pictures of what food I have. I did, and she said we will call some food banks Wednesday. So I guess I’m going to have to print out a Social Security benefits statement and get a balance on my bank account.

I’m glad you can get help. I just go to the food banks that don’t require all that proof. No need for proving the need for food. I’m so grateful to them for that

Thanks @anon4362788. They closed the Family Dollar near me but there is a Dollar General a short bus ride away.

I hope you can find yourself a cheap Santa hat.

At least you’re not heavy in debt and can manage your money. Always look on the bright side of life.

Thanks @TheFountainPen. Walmart has them for 73¢ right now. I’ve got an appointment with my nurse practitioner Thursday that’s in the vicinity, so I’ll stop in at Walmart.
