Weird thingy appeared on search bar in windows

I have never seen anything on my search bar that I can recall before, but now it seems to be showing clickable icons which lead me to an “international tea day” search for microsoft bing. No idea why it appeared there. Great, more ads. Anyone else got this?

I just use google to my detriment but I’ve nortons which has done me no wrong over many years despite the price tag. It’s a weird world these days for those who remember the days of the old bulletin boards way back when.

I haven’t used a Windows computer in a few years, but unless things have drastically changed, the only purpose of the windows browser is so you can download a better browser.

Yes I got it today for the first time ever.
I didn’t click and don’t intend to.

Just as an update to this: I checked my recently installed apps and there was an update to “mail and calendar” from Microsoft. I assume this is where icons came from so even though its advertisement, I would think its safe, considering its from Microsoft.

i have the same thing. i wondered why is was different.

When I first saw it I thought it was a visual artifact and that my graphic card was dying

Word has it that you can buy mariuanha from Amsterdam through this search bar. The coffecup represents the coffebars and the other symbol goes without saying. :eyes:

lol. I’m not sure if you are joking or not, but thats not true. It was for international tea day. Today it has changed into a tennis racket and ball to represent the French open.
