Is it just me, or does anyone else on abilify get super, weird nightmares? I am wondering if it’s the abilify, or a combination of the loxapine and abilify effecting my brain.

Hmm no I’ve never had a med affect my dreams. I’ve heard of it though. Not sure what you could do about that

I’ve had my dreams be affected by all sorts of things, even just normal food like cheese. If you put on a nicotine patch overnight you wake up sweating with intense dreams! Its probably different for everyone but I fully believe meds could cause this too.

“Nicotine” @Bee3 I think you might be onto something there. I usually don’t smoke for about 1-2 before I nap/sleep. So I am wondering if it’s my mind going through nicotine withdraw in my sleep.

It’s ok. Thank you for your reply. I just had a nightmare where these weird spirits were messing with my body. Scary.
I also got horrible nightmares from Abilify. They stopped when I switched meds.

Yeah I am going to have to make a mental note of my nightmares and talk about them to my pdoc. Which thank God is very soon.
true. like sometimes i hear loud music in my dream and when i wake up, lo and behold, loud music was playing.
