Washing/cleaning yourself

yeah, i was hyper and i had to do something to calm down so i ran a bath and scrubbed myself like i never scrubbed before, then i had a shower to wash all the soup and dead skin off

feel a bit better now i am totally clean

loved the water and i had the radio on and they were talking about stress and playing really mellow tunes :shower: :+1:

I always feel better after a shower and a good towel down. Did you rinse of with cool water at the end? I always do because it makes my skin tingle.

i’ll need to try that, ,

my shower is a bit weird tho goes from hot to cold but i had it on warm somehow

I always do baths. At least most of the time. Force myself to get in there everyday but don’t like to draw the curtain. Always afraid somebody is on the other side. Same reason I don’t the bathroom door. Like to know what’s going on.
Same thing with teeth. Make myself do it everyday. Can only do it once with flossing but brush for two timed minutes instead of 20, 30 seconds.

I shower about twice a week…sigh…wish I did bathe more. I always feel better after I do but getting in there is such a long way it seems…haha…my hair always is easier to fix when I’ve showered. haha…tmi…

I use to never take a bath. I had to force my brain to make it a priority and and its still really difficult.

Coming soon to a theater near you, ā€œAdventures in Waterā€ starring Tom Cruise as daydreamer and Nicole Kidman as Sweep, lol.

I should shower/bathe more than I do.

I go at most 3 days without showering. It will probably be more frequent than that with summer gearing up.

When my voices were bad it used to be like stepping into a chamber where I was just gonna be scolded. That doesn’t seem to happen anymore.

I was a Boy Scout and we didn’t shower for a week and man that bus ride back home was just the pits. I at least wash my face in the morning and take a small sponge type bath using that 99% germ killing jell under my arm pits with an already used T shirt or towel. Why waste water if you didn’t do enough to make you dirty and also the health experts tell us not to shower directly after being in the sunlight because we will wash all our body oils off that produce the vitamin ā€œDā€ before it can be absorbed back into our bodies.

I wish I had a shower. I don’t like my bath.

I like to think my daily sponge baths are like a nurse caring for the injured and I pep talk myself in the mirror.

I have not showered for 4 days. Counted. Doc today. I go dirty.

The important thing is you go.

Sorry if that came across abrasive. I just know how difficult that can be. Fortunately most mental healthcare providers understand its a symptom.
