as a kid i was diagnosed with ADHD and was put into a sorta phyc ward for kids for 6 weeks there final diagnosed was ADHD and OCD and they put me on ritalin my mom took me off of it soon after cause of the way it affected me the Schizophrenia came much later in my life at 19

I dont understand how someone can have both adhd and sz. Adhd meds increase dopamine while sz meds reduces dopamine.
I was told I had ADHD and put on Ritalin. All it did was give me weird tics I still have to this day, 15 years later.
But when I was diagnosed, a lot of kids were diagnosed with it, and the doctors wouldn’t really bother to check if there were environmental factors or other things in play.

A small dose of stimulant would put me into hours of paranoid delusional episode.

so i just wanted to clarify that i dont just have sz its schizoaffective disorder and if i have any sorta upper like the meds givin for adhd i get not only anxious but paranoid as well and if its an ongoing thing it gets me sick
