Walking/running barefoot

My feet are very ticklish and soft.

I have a recurring fantasy of going barefoot and developing calluses and the muscles/tendons of my feet.

I used to go barefoot outside every chance I got, same indoors. Used to spend lots of time at the beach back home, there is lots of lakes there

You can do it at home and in your backyard.

I live in an appartment of a city. At home the floor is too even, but I enjoy it.

I´m talking about creating callouses and desensitizing the soles. Like going into a forest barefoot. I guess I could do it in the park with grass but I am allways bored at the park with nothing to do…

You need to watch where you step going barefoot! There´s plenty of broken glasses in the street too, but I´ve seen advocates of asphalt running on youtube that go in the streets barefoot.

I ran on street made of coral and got blood blisters. This could happen before callouses. Shoes are good for feet, take up shock and protect. Must be that Native in you. One time I stepped on a hot cig ash. One time I got a big wart on the bottom of my foot. Be tough though callouses will come.

Woah, that´s an amazing story! I wish I had the landscape, social freedom, time an energy to start going barefoot…

I don’t like going barefoot!
Not even in the house.
I’m always wearing socks.

Aren´t you bothered by your feet beeing ticklish and soft? Aren´t you bothered by the untrained, but adaptative, little muscles that don´t get the required workout?

No not really 15

Never jog or run on a treadmill with your bare feet. I should know from experience.

I love being barefoot. Mostly in the house (from October to May) or on the beach. When I go out I wear flip flops (without socks most of the year, and with socks in winter).

I used to go barefoot outside a lot. Then my uncle, who moved here from Ghana, scolded me. He told me when he was a kid he and his brothers would walk along the side of the highway collecting tire scraps to use as shoes. He said he knew people who died from walking barefoot and getting infected wounds or snake bites. I felt like an ungrateful yuppie scum and have word shoes outdoors ever since.

I was walking on the pavement barefoot today. What a mistake. I almost burnt the skin off the bottoms of my feet.

Uh, maybe the conditions in Ghana are a little different then where you live. But I forget where you live.

During summer vacations during my last two years of high school I barely wore shoes at all. I never even got a bee sting or got cut on glass.
