Waiting for an antidepressant to work is painful

I have paranoid schizophrenia and major depression. Started lexapro a 6 days ago and can barely feel it to work. I am really on an edge to end it all

What dose are you on? I know someone who takes lexapro and it works for them.

Im on 10mgs, on 20mgs i find it too stimulating.

Im also on haloperidol which doesnt help depression, just worsens anxiety

I think 10mg is the recommend dose anyway.

Hopefully it’ll start to work soon.

ya im waiting for increase in meds to kick in

they say it takes atleast 2 weeks for meds to kick in
