When did you feel your AD to start working?

Its my 6th day on lexapro and dont feel much, besides sleeping too much. How long did an AD to start working for you?

They never did.

About 4 weeks for me.

The placebo effect was like 4 days later. Pretty powerful if you ask me.

It takes about 3-5 weeks before you get the full effect of Lexapro. You may have some transitional side effects while the medicine is starting to become effective, but the benefit of the medicine should be seen after a week of daily dosing.

You should see gradual continued improvement over the next couple of weeks, and can count on seeing what the full benefit of what that dosage is going to do for you at the 1 month mark.

I’m tapering off of Lexapro now. It took about two weeks to kick in. Didn’t help much.

It took about a month for me to start feeling any positive changes on cymbalta.

For sz negative symptoms, not depression. My Dr says I don’t have depression.

I started on my AD, Celexa, while I was in the hospital right after my son’s suicide, and it started working almost immediately. It’s been a wonderful AD for me.
